Pastor Michael is the Pastor of CMBW “The Love Church” located in Richmond, VA. He has been called to “Preach, heal and lead God’s people to salvation.” His life’s mission is to treat God’s people’s needs as holy; give a voice to the voiceless; and minister to the hurts and hopes of God’s people.
 

Relevant and transformative CMBW’s Ministries include M3: Men Helping Men Be Men, Help, Hope & Healing, Financial Empowerment & Homeownership, Breaking Bread Ministry, 12 noon Prayer (Monday-Saturday), Word on Wednesday @ 7pm and powerful Sunday Worship Experiences. Pastor Michael has used his God-given gifts to serve as Pastor of MOBC, RVA, Biblical Teacher for the Richmond City Jail, City-Wide Coordinator for the Faith Leaders Initiative of RVA. He is an attorney and has served as an Adjunct Professor for Urban Ministry at the Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond VA, CEO of Aj Sanders Training & Consulting Management, LLC; Executive Director for Beating the Odds Independent Living Academy, an organization that prepares foster care youth for independent living.
 

As a scholar-athlete, he received a full four-year football scholarship to the University of Rhode Island as a running back where he earned a BA Degree; received his Law Degree from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law in Washington DC; his Master of Divinity Degree from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University of Richmond VA; and his Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton Ohio. He is a graduate of the Leadership Metro Richmond Class of 2008.
 

On November 29, 2024, Pastor Michael will celebrate 28 years of marriage to Lady Aj. She is a Strategic Advisor, Coach & Strategist for Health Care organizations.
They are the proud parents of two daughters, Melissa, and Tiffany, the proud grandparents of 3 grandchildren. More than 22 young people call them mom and dad.

Pastor Michael enjoys preaching, working out, music, traveling, photography, empowering
God’s people, and spending time with family and close friends. He is grateful for all the
Lord’s blessings and believes the best is yet to come for CMBW “The Love Church.”
